What is processed, and what is kept

Your filing is not retained. A document you upload or paste is read once to find its citations and is not stored after the check. The citation text found in it is sent to CourtListener (a Free Law Project service) to perform the check against the public court record.

What is kept: the resulting report (its id, date, and findings); an email address you provide, with its newsletter and launch-notice preferences; a count of lookups per day for enforcing daily allowances; and the IP address of each lookup, recorded for abuse prevention and visible only to the operator. For each citation checked, the result category (such as verified or not found) and whether its name, address, and court/year each matched are also recorded for internal reporting -- never the opinion text itself.

Cookies

There are no accounts and no passwords. The service sets up to three cookies, none of them for advertising: a marker that the browser's one free lookup was used (30 days); a short-lived echo of a just-typed email so it need not be retyped in the same sitting (4 hours); and, for invited guests only, the invite's own token for its lifetime.

Third parties

• CourtListener (Free Law Project) performs the public-record check on the citation text found in your document.
• Beehiiv processes newsletter subscriptions made through the subscribe form.
• Google Analytics collects aggregate usage statistics for the site.
• OpenRouter is used to phrase a full report's one summary sentence; it receives only the report's category counts and row references — never your document, never the citation text.
• Railway hosts the service.

What is not done

Personal information is not sold. Email addresses are not shared with anyone for marketing. Guest-link activity is never joined to any email address.

Removal

To have your email address or stored report data deleted, write to contact from the address in question.
