The service
Cite11 is provided by Legal Search Hub LLC. It checks case-law citations in text you submit against the public court record and reports what it found. By using the service you agree to these terms.
What a result means
Cite11 verifies that citations exist and resolve to the case named; it does not report whether a case is still good law. A result reflects the public record as indexed at the moment of the check. The public record has real limits: very recent opinions, unpublished decisions, and citations numbered by commercial databases may not be in it, and the service reports those as not confirmed, with the reason and what to do next, rather than guessing. Results can be wrong in both directions; our measured accuracy, including every error, is published on the benchmark page. Confirm any result that matters in a primary source before relying on it.

Nothing this service produces is legal advice, and using it creates no attorney–client relationship with Legal Search Hub LLC. Your professional obligations — including any duty of reasonable inquiry under court rules — remain entirely yours.
Your responsibilities
Submit only documents you have the right to submit. Do not attempt to circumvent usage limits, probe or disrupt the service, or access it by automated bulk means. We may limit or refuse service to protect capacity for everyone else.
No-cost use and paid features
Current no-cost allowances (such as daily single-citation lookups, and the fair-use document check below) may change. Paid features state their own price and terms at the point of purchase.
Document checks: no-cost and paid
A single-citation lookup needs no sign-in. A full-document check needs an email, verified by a one-time sign-in link sent to that address — no password, no account profile beyond that email. At no charge, each email may run up to 3 document checks a day: every citation’s existence, whether it resolves to the case named, and any correction, every time; the quote check (whether a quoted passage appears in the opinion) runs once, on that email’s first document check ever, shown on the page and not kept. A full Verification Report with a downloadable PDF requires a purchased credit.
Purchases, credits and refunds
A single-brief credit ($49) or a 5-brief pack ($199, each credit expiring 12 months after purchase) is charged through Stripe at the time of purchase. An unused credit is refundable on request within 14 days of purchase. A credit already spent on a completed report is not refundable, since the report was delivered as described. There are no subscriptions yet; when a monthly plan is offered, its own cancellation terms will be stated at the point of purchase. To request a refund or ask about a charge: contact.
Documents and reports
A submitted filing is checked while you wait and is not retained by Cite11; only the citations found in it are sent to CourtListener, as described in the Privacy page. The resulting report is shown to you once and is not stored, so copy or print it before you leave the page. Cite11 does keep the usage records, messages, caches and logs described in the Privacy page. Availability is capacity-limited and not guaranteed to be uninterrupted.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legal Search Hub LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and its total liability for any matter arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the matter (zero, for use at no charge).
Changes
These terms may be updated by posting a revised version here with a new date. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the revised terms.
